On November 12th, of 2004, the prestigious “Cleveland Museum of Art" hosted and sponsored under their program "Cafe Bellas Artes," a presentation entitled "The History of Tango." This presentation was delivered by Ms. Julie Bessette and Dr. Guillermo Pimentel. The production included a musical journey of tango and the performance of Argentine Tango dances styles within the tradition and protocols of the dance halls in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This event constituted the inauguration and activation of “TangoRush” as an organization committed to expose and promote the Knowledge, Culture, and The Arts of Tango, and to establish a bridge of understanding and appreciation of the manifestations of our intercultural idiosyncrasies and our human condition as a whole.
TangoRush is grateful to “The Cleveland Museum of Art”, the “Cafe Bellas Artes” program, “All About Dancin’" Dance Studio, WCSB 89.3 FM - Cleveland State University Radio Station, the event audience, and the Honorable Consul of Mexico Lic. Antonio Meza Rivera, the keynote speaker, for their promotion and support in introducing traditional Argentine Tango arts to the community of Ohio and beyond.
